The Center for Politics
Since May 2008 the Center for Politics has made its home at Montesano, a renovated 19th-century Georgian house near the grounds of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Directions to Montesano
From North of Charlottesville (Route 29 South, then 250 West/ Route 29 Bypass)
- Take US Rt. 29 South to Charlottesville
- Merge onto US-250-BYP W/US-29 S/US-29-BYP S via the ramp to Richmond/Staunton/Lynchburg/I-64 W (1.6 mi.)
- Take the Charlottesville/Ivy exit for VA-601 / "Local Traffic" (0.1 mi.)
- Turn left onto VA-601/Faulconer Drive (first road on the left, very soon after the exit) (0.1 mi.)
- Turn left onto Old Ivy Road (0.5 mi.)
- Turn left onto Crestwood Drive (you will see a large sign for University Village) (0.2 mi.)
- Bear right at the sign for the University of Virginia Center for Politics
- Montesano, a red brick Georgian-style home, is located on the right, 465 Crestwood Drive
From South of Charlottesville (from 29 North, 250 East/Route 29 Bypass/I-64)
- Take US Route 29 North / Monacan Trail Road toward Charlottesville
- Take the US-250 Bus. E / US-250 W exit toward Waynesboro/Charlottesville (0.2 mi.)
- Keep right at the Fork - Follow signs for US-250 Business East and merge onto
Ivy Road / US-250-BR E (0.6 mi.)
- Turn sharp left at the light onto Old Ivy Road (also called Rt. 601), passing under a train trestle. (0.3 mi.)
- Turn right onto Crestwood Drive (you will see a large sign for University Village) (0.2 mi)
- Bear right at the sign for the University of Virginia Center for Politics
- Montesano, a red brick Georgian-style home, is located on the right, 465 Crestwood Drive
From East of Charlottesville (I-64 West)
- Take I-64 West toward Staunton
- Take Exit 118B to merge onto US-29 North toward Culpeper/Charlottesville. Continue to follow US-29 N. (2.0 mi.)
- Take the US-250 Bus. E / US-250 W exit toward Waynesboro/Charlottesville (0.2 mi)
- Keep right at the Fork - Follow signs for US-250 Business East and merge onto
Ivy Road / US-250-BR E (0.6 mi.)
